<p>Magazine publisher and supplements company owner Bill Phillips was the author of “Body for Life: 12 Weeks to Mental and Physical Strength”. </p>
<p>This work of his was published in the mid 90’s. He has been a bodybuilder for long and in the course of his career, he has also published a magazine that talks about bodybuilding and has made his own company that sells supplements. </p>
<p>His vision was to reach out to the masses about bodybuilding programs. </p>
<p>The programs with diet specifications include sticking to six meals, but small ones, and spread out through the course of a day. </p>
<p>The nutrients should include lean proteins, good carbohydrates, and a good balance in general. It is necessary to follow this type of a pattern because this accelerates the body’s metabolism rate.</p>
<p> Also, one never feels too hungry in any part of the day in this way. The other part of the program talks about the exercise required to be coupled with good diet habits. Working out six days of a week is ideal and one can alternate between doing weights and high intensity cardio routines. </p>
<p>It is important to have a high intensity exercise regimen, says Phillips. Interval training for long-distance runs, and high intensity (but shorter) reps with weight training are recommended. </p>
<p>Phillip’s challenge for weight loss photographs (the after and before) have created controversies and many are said to believe that it is practically impossible for such a transformation to occur in a period of only twelve weeks. </p>
<p>The good side:</p>
<p>The program does not have a complex philosophy. The steps are solid and focus mainly only eating right and exercising properly. There cannot be a doubt in the results; you are sure to feel fitter and healthier, and your body is sure to begin to shape up. </p>
<p>The bad side:  </p>
<p>Each and every one of us may or may not be able to lose weight so drastically. The before and after pictures could well be for real, but that may be due to the muscle memory of certain people. People who gain weight quickly can also lose it equally quickly. Therefore, this plan may set unrealistic explanations for users. </p>
<p>There is no doubt that Phillips was sure about his claims. His plan is scientifically sound and solid. It was his endeavour to help people understand their body and its potential through an all or nothing principle for losing weight. </p>

<p>In our world, health and fitness are two very sensitive topics and looking at the diet the teenagers are following these days makes you think whether there is anything healthy to eat at all? </p>
<p>There are many people who want to lose weight and also join a gym or get a personal fitness trainer but always lose the confidence and momentum along the way. Here is a simple solution by Bill Phillips in which he suggest that since everyone in world wants to change something then they should be the change. </p>
<p>The Transformation challenge by Bill Phillips challenges all the participants to be vigilant with themselves. </p>
<p>Bill also says that it is never about the challenge and its type but it is always about what the participant wants to achieve from the challenge. </p>
<p>To take up this challenge another fitness trainer proved Bill right as she undertook the responsibility of designing a challenge and analyzing the things that are required to complete a change. </p>
<p>Her name is Alison and she created the “Hot Mommy Next Door” Challenge where moms from the neighborhood took up this task and lost at least 100 pounds in 12 weeks. </p>
<p>She also commented that she dream’t of changing the world and today has received the label of one of the best motivators in US. She thanks the people who have taken up this 12 week routine because it’s their commitment to the program and to themselves that has made all this possible. </p>
<p>Even Bill Phillips has similar views on all his fitness books. He was honored that the authors (fitness enthusiasts) contributed to this project in some way or the other, and we can see the change happening right in front of us.</p>
<p>There are three simple steps to be the change and effect change to all around you:</p>
<p>•	Commitment: You have to commit yourself to bring about the change. Devise a plan that can change the world the way you want it.</p>
<p>•	Observe: Take a look around and observe the things that require a change and try thinking about the outcome if action is taken.  </p>
<p>•	Choose: Think and analyze before making a choice. This is very important because the way you might bring about a change might influence thousands of other to do the same; you are an example for them so choose wisely. </p>
