Bill Phillips who is the author of Body for Life also designed a Diet plan for all its users over the 12 week workout. The diet plan has had mixed reviews all over the world and people believe that something’s mentioned by Bill are not required.
The diet talks about six meals a day that basically always keeps to body alert and never hungry. The main objective of this diet plan is to rev up the metabolic activities in your body and this is done by eating lean proteins and good carbohydrates throughout the day.

Along with the diet, the book written by Bill Phillips recommends the users to have a high intensity weight training and interval training included in their weight program. But we are here to discuss about the advantages and disadvantages of this diet plan, most of these have been generated from what others have to say about this program.

• Advantages

o Constant Eating: a big advantage that you will get with this diet regime is the fact that it recommends you eat 5 to 6 small meals throughout the day. This means a small meal every two hours thus designed to never leave you hungry.
o Cheat Day: an interesting aspect developed by Bill Phillips in his book is the “Cheat Day”. With the stated diet plan, Bill recommends all his users to have at least one cheat day every week and eat their favorite foods. But this has to be done by making a note of the things they had on their cheat day.
o Exercise program: Bill Phillips concentrates on increasing muscle mass of the body. The exercise program recommends the individual to do strength training thrice a week and then three cardiovascular sessions weekly. Both the workouts are 45 minutes and 20 minutes respectively. This will help you lose weight.

• Disadvantages:

o Supplements: the diet plan also recommends some supplements for the workout session. Since most of you must know that Bill Phillips was also the owner of a supplement company and some critics believe that the special mention of supplements instead of meals in the diet might be a promotional strategy.
o False Expectations: the book “Body for Life” has an extreme weight loss pictures in the “before and after” section. Many people believe to attain the body like that in 12 weeks is almost impossible with the diet plan and workout regime Bill has advised in his book. Plus there are false expectations stating that people following this will lose 2 pounds every week.
